IEEE IROS 2012 - INSTRUCTIONS FOR SESSION CHAIRS

Session Chairs are asked to kindly review the conference program before their session.

All rooms will be equipped with a video projector, and a screen. Authors have been asked to use their own laptop and to meet their Session Chair at the session room a few minutes before the beginning of their session to check equipment compatibility. If something is not working properly, please ask for help to one of the Conference Helpers.

IMPORTANT NOTE: some parallel sessions run in sequence with no break.

- For sessions starting at 15:00, Session Chairs and speakers are invited to meet in the session room before the starting of the previous session, i.e. during the lunch break a few minutes before 14:00.

- For sessions starting at 17.30, Session Chairs and speakers are invited to meet in the session room before the starting of the previous session, i.e. during the coffee break a few minutes before 16:15.

- For sessions starting at 9:30, Session Chairs and speakers are invited to meet in the session room before the starting of the previous session, i.e. a few minutes before 8:30.
 
The length of each oral presentation is restricted to 15 minutes, including questions. The authors should be strongly advised to keep their oral presentation within 12 minutes, and to leave 3 minutes for discussion with the audience and change of speaker.

Some sessions include video contributions. The length of each video presentation is restricted to 5 minutes, including questions. The authors should be strongly advised to keep their oral presentation within 3 minutes, and to leave 2 minutes for discussion with the audience and change of speaker.

To ensure that the conference program remains on schedule, Session Chairs are asked to kindly enforce the time limits on each presentation. Please, try to respect the schedule.

Please use the time slot of the no-show papers for discussion and/or presentation of additional materials to papers previously presented (e.g. more Q&A, more detailed answers to questions previously posed by the audience, additional slides or videos, etc). Changing the program schedule is NOT an option.

IEEE IROS 2012 - INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRESENTERS OF PAPERS

Each paper is allocated a 15-minute presentation slot. Please limit your presentations to 12 minutes, to allow sufficient time for Q&A and speaker transition. Each room is equipped with an LCD projector. Authors are asked to meet their Session Chair at the session room a few minutes before the beginning of their session. Presenters are asked to bring their own laptops and to check for equipment compatibility before the beginning of the session. If something is not working properly, please ask for help to your session chair or to one of the conference/sessions helpers.

IEEE IROS 2012 - INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRESENTERS IN THE VIDEO SESSION

Each Video Contribution is allocated a 5-minutes slot. Each time slot is organized such that the presenter starts the projection of the video (up to 3 minutes), answers questions from the audience and allows the change of presenter.

The Video Session room is equipped with an LCD projector and a PC, in which all the videos will be collected beforehand by the Organizers. Presenters are asked to meet their Session Chair at the session room a few minutes before the beginning of their session.

IEEE IROS 2012 - INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRESENTERS IN THE JUBILEE VIDEO SESSION

Each Jubilee Video Contribution is allocated a 10-minutes slot. Each time slot is organized such that the presenter starts the projection of the video (up to 5 minutes), answers questions from the audience and allows the change of presenter.

The Jubilee Video Session room is equipped with an LCD projector and a PC, in which all the videos will be collected beforehand by the Organizers. Presenters are asked to meet their Session Chair at the session room a few minutes before the beginning of their session.
